Terms of use

Effective 22 Oct 2026 · If the Arabic and English texts differ, the Arabic text governs.

These terms govern your relationship with LiveKit check (Devya test) when you use its site on Mudarraj, as a student or an instructor. They explain what you get when you buy a course, what we ask of you in return, and what happens if something goes wrong.

1. Who you are dealing with

  • The academy is the seller. LiveKit check (Devya test) offers the courses, sets their prices and sells them to you. It is responsible to you for the content, payments and refunds.
  • The academy's details. Reach the academy through its contact page. Before you buy anything, you can ask it for its supplier details: its legal name, commercial registry number and address.
  • Mudarraj is the technology provider, not the seller. The academy runs on Mudarraj, a platform operated by Devya. We provide the technology: the site, the app, the video player and the connection to payment methods. We are not a party to your purchase of courses and we do not sell you any course. Devya's company details are at the end of this page.

2. Accepting these terms

When you create an account or join the academy and tick the consent box, you accept these terms and the acceptable use policy, and confirm that you have read the privacy policy. We keep a record of your acceptance, including the version of the terms and the date. If you are an instructor, the instructor terms also apply to you.

3. Your account

  • One Mudarraj account works in every academy you join, but these terms cover your relationship with this academy only.
  • An account is for one person. Don't share it or give your password to anyone, not even a classmate in your year.
  • Give accurate details — your name, email, phone number and study details — and keep them up to date.
  • You are responsible for what happens through your account. If you think someone else has got into it, change your password and tell the academy straight away.

4. If you are under 18

You need the consent of a parent or guardian before you create an account and before you buy anything. By creating the account you confirm that your guardian has agreed, and your guardian is responsible for your use of the account and for payments. The academy may ask for proof of that consent. We never send marketing messages to anyone under 18.

5. Device limits and the watermark

To protect the content from sharing and leaks, the academy uses two measures you should know about:

  • Device limit. The academy sets how many devices your account can use there (2 by default; the academy can change it). We recognise a device by a random ID kept in the mdr_did cookie (or in the mobile app's secure storage), which our servers store only as a one-way hash. We also keep the device's name and type, its last IP address and when it was last seen.
  • Removing a device. You can remove a device yourself in Settings once every 30 days, or ask the academy to do it.
  • Watermark. Videos show a moving watermark with your name and part of your phone number (or part of your email if you have no phone number). It discourages sharing and helps identify the account a leaked recording came from. The academy can turn it off.
  • Trying to get around either measure breaks the acceptable use policy.

6. Purchases, prices and access

  • The price, the access period and what the course includes are shown on the course page before you pay. Prices are in Egyptian pounds, and the academy shows at checkout whether they include VAT.
  • The access period is the one shown on the course page. It may be open-ended (for as long as the course stays available on the academy) or fixed, such as a term or a number of months.
  • You pay with the methods the academy has enabled: card, mobile wallet, payment kiosk or InstaPay. Card details are entered on the payment gateway's page; neither we nor the academy ever see your full card number.
  • Access starts as soon as payment is confirmed. At checkout you ask for access to start straight away, and you acknowledge that opening any paid content ends your right to withdraw from that purchase, as the refund policy explains.
  • The academy is responsible for issuing any receipt or invoice the law requires for your purchases.
  • Promo codes and referral points follow the academy's rules. They have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money.

7. If a course is withdrawn or the academy stops

  • If the academy withdraws a course you bought before your access period ends, it must do one of the following: keep your access to what was published until the period ends, offer you a replacement course you agree to, or refund you in full or for the remaining period under the refund policy.
  • If the academy is suspended for a while — for example because it hasn't paid its Mudarraj subscription — access pauses without anything being deleted, and comes back when the suspension is lifted.
  • If the academy closes for good or stays suspended for a long time, the academy is responsible for refunding the remaining access period. The academy will tell you before it closes whenever it can.

8. Refunds

The details are in the refund policy. In short: you get a full refund if you ask within 14 days of buying and haven't started the course. Ask the academy through its contact page. The academy's own policy may be more generous than this, never less.

9. Certificates

  • The academy issues a certificate when you complete a course under its rules.
  • A certificate shows that you completed that course at that academy, and nothing more. It is not a university degree or an official qualification accredited by a government or educational body, unless the academy says otherwise in writing and names the accrediting body.
  • The academy may cancel a certificate if it was obtained by cheating, or if you were refunded for the course.

10. What you post

This covers your course questions, comments, reviews and blog posts.

  • What you write stays yours. You give the academy and Devya a free, non-exclusive licence to display, store and back it up within the service for as long as it stays posted.
  • Be respectful and stay on topic.
  • Reviews must reflect your real experience of the course. No paid or fake reviews, and none in someone else's name.
  • Don't post other people's personal data (phone numbers, photos, addresses), content you don't have the right to share, or quiz answers.
  • The full rules are in the acceptable use policy.

11. Moderation and suspension

  • The academy and the Mudarraj team can hide or delete content that breaks these terms, warn you, reset your devices, and suspend or close your account at the academy, depending on how serious the breach is, as the acceptable use policy explains.
  • A suspension for a breach does not entitle you to a refund for the time you were suspended, unless the suspension turns out to have been a mistake.
  • You can appeal any action within 14 days by replying to the message about it or through the contact page.

12. Course content

  • Videos, files and quizzes belong to the academy or its instructors. When you buy a course you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to watch and study from it yourself during the access period.
  • Only download files that are offered for download. Don't record the screen, and don't republish, sell or share any part of the content.
  • If you find content that infringes your rights or someone else's, report it under the copyright policy.

13. The role of Mudarraj and Devya

  • We run and maintain the platform and work to keep it available, but faults and maintenance can happen. We announce planned maintenance in advance whenever we can.
  • We are not responsible for the academic accuracy of courses. That is the responsibility of the academy and its instructors.
  • Devya may suspend any account across the whole platform for a serious breach of the acceptable use policy, or to protect other users.

14. Your data

The academy is responsible for your learning, purchase and community data there, and Devya processes that data on its behalf. Devya is responsible for your Mudarraj account data and its security. The details are in the privacy policy and the cookie notice.

15. Limits of liability

As far as the law allows, the academy's liability to you for any course is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing in these terms reduces your rights under Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018 or any other right the law does not allow you to give up.

16. Changes

These terms may change. For any material change we tell you in your dashboard or by email before it takes effect, and we update the effective date at the top of the page. A change never alters the terms of a course you have already bought, unless it is in your favour or required by law.

17. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Egyptian law. If a dispute arises, contact the academy first to settle it amicably. If it isn't settled within 30 days, the courts of Cairo have jurisdiction, including the Economic Courts where competent. You can always file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency. If this English text differs from the Arabic, the Arabic text governs.
